Creating a Micro-Lending Program in Otam, Ghana

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Silicon Valley Chapter is committed to assisting women of Otuam, Ghana in West Africa. Our goal is to help our African sisters become self-reliant. Through such initiatives as starting their own businesses, women of Otaum are establishing ways to elevate themselves and their children from poverty to independence. Thus the establishment of a funding source to support micro-business lending was born.

Mirco-lending for women in third world countries has proven to be a successful means for these women and their families to become self-sufficient. To that end, the Silicon Valley Chapter established the Otuam Program in 2012. Sisters of Otuam we reach out to you.

This 3-year program is designed to help women in Otuam develop their country, family, and themselves by starting their own business.
