Pathfinder (P:SMT) 2022-2023 Educational Program

STEAM Day 2023 - May 13th

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Silicon Valley Chapter wants to thank the San Jose Earthquakes, volunteers, instructors, parents and students for another fun and successful STEAM Day!

For over 25 years, the Silicon Valley Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. has served over 2400 students with opportunities focused around science, math, engineering and technology. The chapter’s Pathfinder: Science, Math and Technology Sponsorship program is an innovative educational program designed to increase the number of girls of color interested in science, math and technology and to encourage them to pursue opportunities and careers in those areas. This unique program has been a cornerstone of our Education program in the Silicon Valley Chapter and we are committed to its long-term success!

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Silicon Valley Chapter delivers support services that help youth achieve their educational goals. By supporting positive experiences, fostering a positive self-perception and self-respect, encouraging excellence in education and promoting the pursuit of positive lifelong goals, NCBW is creating future leaders today.

The P:SMT scholarship program is an innovative educational program designed to increase the number of girls of color interested in science, math and technology and to encourage them to pursue opportunities and careers in those areas. This unique program has been in the Silicon Valley for over 15 years with a focus on the age group of 4th thru 8th grade when girls are most likely to drop out of or lose interest in STEM fields. We have provided a variety of opportunities for this diverse next generation through several activities and events, including:
